Mike Butler

Mike: Was born November 1980, into a computer-focused family, Dj Miniml has always had a desire for art, music, and fashion. Learning to program at an early age of 6, programming and graphics art dominated most of his life. Aspiring to be a gaming programmer in the early years, and then moving to web design after high school, he discovered dance music his sophomore year in high school. Attending underground parties at the age of 15 bursting with curiousity of this new found sound.

Miniml (known at the time as DJ Tweek) got his first set of turntables from his parents Christmas of '98 and began down the road to learning the music for himself. After practicing vigirously for months on end, and balancing school during the school months, Miniml found his sound and felt he was ready for people to experience what he had to offer. He began getting gigs at the smaller venues, meeting the people, and started making connections that would last a life time.

In the summer of 1999, DJ Creature, (Tony Westmoreland), an event promoter and dj himself heard him spinning at a local dive and after his set asked him if you would be interested in playing an upcoming event. His production company, Transpose, rather small at the time was about to do their second event of the year and was scheduled to be a big one. Little did Miniml know that this event, TranceHouse, would put his name on the map in the surrounding areas. Sci-Fi and Miniml remain friends to this day!

Since TranceHouse Dj Miniml has had the pleasure of playing in various cities across the United States with big names such as Richard Humpty Vission, Chris Fortier, and Frankie Bones.
